Why do I do this?
I do this because I can. I have many stories to tell and this is as good of a place as any to tell my stories. The story of my youngest child is a good example. His name is Caden. He was born with a heart defect and has spent over half of his life in the hospital to this point. There are many stories within that situation. How to deal with doctors. How to deal with family. How to deal with God. How to deal with yourself. These are just a few examples of stories that I can think of that many people may find useful if they are put into a similar situation.
I plan to start writing a book. Well, actually I have already written part of it. I will probably use a self publishing company to test drive my idea at first. I believe that there are plenty of people out there who are going through tough situations that want to know that everything is going to be okay. I have been through a ton of stuff in my life. Let me randomly list a few subjects that my wife or I have experienced as children or adults in our lifetime; divorce, suicide, attempted murder, adoption, Foster Care, child abuse, jailed parents, travel, military, union work, public education, home schooling, college education, stay home mom, life threatening illness, working multiple jobs to survive. As you can see there are a variety of subjects on which I can write and I have just scratched the surface. Many of these subjects are not very positive subjects, but that does not mean there is nothing to be learned. My wife and I have gone through a lot in our lives. We have succeeded for one reason. God has seen us though. We believe and trust in God and want to share what he has done for us. This is as good of a place as any to start. I hope you will come back and learn from our experiences. You are about to meet the real life Osborne Family. This is not the rock'n roll TV version. This is a real life family with real life issues. In many ways our family is just like yours.
